Instructions for Refinishing a Wood Boat
1. Strip to bare wood and sand (220 grit) until smooth and fair.
2. Apply 1 coat thinned spar varnish (1 part turpentine or paint thinner to 3 parts varnish).
3. Let dry and sand.
4. Drape #104 glass over hull and brush with dry brush to smooth fabric.
5. Paint thinned varnish over fabric.
6. Apply 2 coats of unthinned varnish.
7. Sand.
8. Apply one more coat of unthinned varnish.
