Subject: racing my pocock cedar speeder

I was given a cedar single probably made in the late 1940s, or early 1950s.It is a Pocock, rehabed by Graeme King, and I will be racing it for thefirst time on October 2 in the Head of the Mohawk, Niskayuna NY.

I know very little about the history of the boat, but do enjoy it (although I amscared that I might damage it!) I have never raced small boats, although Ihave been sweep rowing for over 10 years.

I noticed that in your "fleet" that Bob Bush has a slightly different boat in Hartford CT, not too far from me. It would be fun to have 2 Pocock Cedar Singles at the Head of the Mohawk- any way you can pass on my contact info to him (including email), or mention the idea to him.

The raegatta is on Regatta Central.

Thanks!
Karen Kast
